In 1996 he established the Collective Purchasing Conference (CPC), a limited liability company designed to allow small business people the opportunity to compete in the larger business market by using the power of collective purchasing.

On May 21-26, 1998, he was invited to travel to Bangladesh to meet with bankers and businessman of Bangladesh to explore business opportunities for the Collective Purchasing Conference.

Imam Mohammed has proposed and is leading the business development campaign called "New Africa" in urban centers throughout the U.S., which will be instrumental in strengthening business and cultural life in African-American communities.
